Hornbeams is our pre-school which is located within the school building allowing children to feel part of the learning community from an early age. Hornbeams follows the Early Years Foundation Stage and makes good use of their garden and the school environment on a regular basis to encourage early learning. Hornbeams children have opportunities to join in special events with the school and benefit from a comprehensive transition period during the summer term before moving into Reception.
Recently pupils from High Littleton CofE Primary enjoyed the use of Norton Hill's food technology facilities as well as working with core subject teachers to improve further on the excellent educational provisions already practised at High Littleton.

A key feature of this new school will be that secondary school teachers will teach Languages, Technology and outdoor education in the primary school, while primary teachers will lead transition to Y7 and Y8 in the secondary schools. Welton Primary is a popular semi rural school set in the heart of the beautiful Welton valley providing an education for children from the ages of 2 to 11. Somervale School has built on its outstanding progress at GCSE over the last three years with another good year of results.
88% of students achieved 5 A*-C passes with those achieving 5 A*-C including English and Maths at 52%. Three of Somervale’s highest performing students included; Sam Clark who achieved 12 A*/A grades, Charlotte Hill 9 A*/A’s and Leah Battle 8 A*/A grades. The Maths Department led the way in the core subjects with 69% A*-C and in the option subjects Music was the highest performer with 100% A*-C pass rate. In Science and Information Technology over 90% of students achieved at least one A*-C or its equivalent, a rise of over 25% in Science on the figure in 2012.

St Dunstan’s is a special place to learn. The ethos for learning is very strong. This is generated through a skilled and strong team of staff with students that are engaged, wellbehaved and focused on learning.
St Dunstan’s is a small school and this is a strength. Students and families are well known and the pastoral care is excellent. GCSE classes are often quite small and this supports the students in achieving very strong value added outcomes. In 2015 the value added score was 1013 against a national figure of 1000. This means, across a students’ best 10 GCSE grades, they get 4 grades better than expected when compared to national results.

We are a small education learning community on three sites in Bristol, one in Fishponds for KS3 & 4, one in Brentry for KS3 and the other in Rush Hill, Bath for KS3 & 4. Pupils who are referred to our Academy often tell us that much of their experience of school and learning has left them feeling disillusioned and negative about education. This feeling does not last long.

Students at Midsomer Norton Sixth Form have bucked national trends by achieving the best results ever. They smashed last year’s results achieving an average of AAB per student and an average of a B grade per entry. 86% of students achieved A*-C, 54% achieved A*-B and over a third of students achieved either A* or A grades. All these measures are above the national average.
Students have been ambitious in their applications this year and 35% of students will be going to a Russell Group university. This has been assisted by the Sixth Form’s specialist Russell Group University preparation programme.
